How can I locate missing submissions?

Asked by tosd on August 30, 2012 at 02:31 AM

    Hello,

I have had a couple of instances lately where submissions have been made on one of my forms but the notification email has not been received and the submission is not listed in Jotform.I have placed test submissions myself and everything was fine, but I know that at least two placed by others have apparently gone missing.

    My form is http://jotformpro.com/?formID=20245009196

If you could look into this I would apppreciate it. Thank you.

If the submissions don't appear in the forms submissions area and were never deleted, it means the submissions have never reached our servers.

Can you be sure that these two alledged submissions that have gone 'missing' is not due to some kind of operator error?

In my experience, with millions of forms, submissions dont tend to just go missing.

Many thanks for your superfast response.

I had a client make a submission and it wasn't received. Well, clients do funny things sometimes, so my partner, who is familiar with the form, sat down and did it for them. Same result.

It was then that I placed a test submission myself and it worked as expected. It just seems to be a bit mysterious and I thought I should check whether their had been any system issues.

No, its been quiet here as regards system issues, we havent had any broad based availability issues for quite some time now.

Did these submissions that didnt appear to work happen on the same PC? If so, do you know anything about the web browser they may have been using?

Have they tried again since? Maybe it was some kind of transient network issue on their end?

Yes, I will follow up at this end and keep an eye on future submissions. Thank you for your help and suggestions.

I have used Jotform for a long time and I really think it is excellent.
