TinyMCE Widget: Why am I able to only inject CSS code through the widget properties?

I have it installed at the bottom of Page 1 of my "Bird Dog Property Tip" form. It seems to only be able to enter custom CSS code through the Properties window; can't edit text directly in the editor.

I'm not sure if I understood your report, please note that following:

    - The widget will not allow you to enter default text while editing the form in the Form Builder, you will only be able to inject some custom CSS code to format its layout. But no default text can be added.

The widget currently works when previewing your form, I was able to type in.

May you please provide us more details about what you would like to achieve?

We will be glad to help you.

I was able to edit directly in the widget once in Preview mode. I didn't understand that from the Description. That doesn't do me any good. So, I removed it from my form. I was interested in the fact that it said you can enter text in the Footer. As I stated previously (in the original question), I'm trying to simulate a footer on my forms.

If you mean you are looking for a form field that will allow you to edit the text inside the Form Builder, then the Text field is the best option for this. However, this doesn't let you edit the HTML properties when adding a text in the preview mode and publish mode.

If you have more questions, please let us know.

What is the intended purpose of the TinyMCE text editor, and when is it recommended for use; example?

The TinyMCE widget is recommended to be used if you want your form users to enter long texts, but at this time they will be able to edit their text, give it format, undo, redo, delete current whole text and create a new document from scratch with only two clicks in the toolbar of the editor. Here is a sample demo form of the widget: https://www.jotform.com/form/33357342405854

ahhh, okay. Now I get it. Thanks Chriistian! The key words in the Widget Details are "will allow your form users to enter long texts". I was confused by the part that said, "display in a footer bar the HTML elements that are being used." Why would users need to know the HTML code  their comments are created with?!?

(FYI - I like your explanation better than the one in Widget Details. Maybe they should use your description instead!?!)

    Thanks!
