Some of the people who registered for my event are approved, and some are waitlisted due to lack of space. Is there a way to show only the approved ones on my website? Or do I have to show everyone, and reveal the administrative "status" field?
I want the names to appear under the "Confirmed" section on the website.

I'm afraid that there is no other option aside what you already did, showing the report embedded in the website.
Since there is no way to filter reports based on field selection. You can only select the fields that will show in the report, as you did.
Maybe something can be done with Spreadsheet integration where you could create some logic that will show only cells when they are "approved". And then you could embed the spreadsheet as you did with a report.
