    jotform is changing the appearance of my material

    Asked by The_Mighty_Optiq on September 01, 2012 at 12:22 AM

    This is a photo of a page I'm working on... I'm building it by embedding forms into forms with iframes and anchor tags.  the box to the left titles "Regular Tee" is a an html file I have save on my hard drive loading into the iframe... which I have inside of a div with the overflow hidden to hide the scrolling.... and it shows up perfect....

     This is what it does when I load the SAME EXACT CODING to jotform.  as you can see there's a gap on the left.... this is in googe chrom by the way... firefox lines up properly on the left but there's a gap on the top and it also has a lot of spacing between the different shirt sizes.  IE shows it fine either way.  what is causing the difference?...  here's a link to the form I'm sourcing into the iframe.... I hope you guys can help figure this out.... I been fighting it for two days now and have decided to give in n ask...  lol

    ok I just figured out to use the "line-height" command for the text... and that worked... but  I still have that gap on the left...

    Hi and thanks for contacting us. This is how your form appears on my side (with Chrome, Firefox and IE too).

    I really do not see anything abnormal. So I may suggest you to empty the cache of your browser and retry again. Please let us know if you need further assistance or in need of further clarification on this matter. Alessandro

    Hi again, I've checked your form again and it appears blank. Have you removed code ? I can forward your issue to our 2nd Level Support but I need to know exactly what you did. Thanks. Alessandro

    ok I tried fixing it with

    .form-all{

    padding-top:0px !important;

    padding-left:0px !important;

    margin-left:0px !important;

    margin-top:0px !important;

    float:left !important;

    width:275px !important;

    }

    but it didn't make it move over to the left... and in firefox it still has the gap on top...  it shows up PERFECT in IE.... but I just discovered the links only work in Chrome... in firefox and IE they each trigger the top of the page rather than the anchor tag I have them directed to.

    For your form http://form.jotform.us/form/22101516710134, can you add these CSS codes in your #row ID:

    position: absolute;
    left: 0;
    top: 0;

    Just one thing that I noticed, the form is using the theme, nova. You might probably want to change it to the old Default theme instead so to use a layout that is lesser styled and start styling your form from there.

    To do this, edit your form (http://form.jotform.us/form/22101516710134)

    1. Go to Form Style tab
    2. Click Themes

    3. On the Themes panel on the left, select Default
    4. Click Close themes

    5. Save your form

    THANK YOU!!!! IT WORKED!!!!!..... do you have any clue as to how to get the links to load to the right anchor tag in IE and FIrefox?... or do I need to start a new thread for that one?

    It's good to know it worked :)

    Now, I noticed that your <a name="..."> tags are outside the titles.  What needs to be done now is to move the anchor with name attribute tags to the titles of your blocks in your http://form.jotform.us/form/22101516710134 form.

    Example:

    Change this code:

                    <a name="mregqp"></a>
                    <div id="mainframe">
                    <div id="heading">
                      <b>Quick Pick</b>
                    </div>

    To this:
                    <div id="mainframe">
                    <div id="heading">
                      <a name="mregqp"><b>Quick Pick</b></a>
                    </div>

    You'll notice I moved the anchor with name attribute tag enclosing the Quick Pick title.  Do the same steps in all your titles.

    Here's a sample form that I copied from yours: https://secure.jotform.me/form/22447855897472.  I only did the code that is associated to quick pick, so that's the only one that works in this form.
