Hello,
You can get notification once a submission is being edited.
Please go to your Email Settings in your Form Builder Panel.
Refer to this image:
It should be selected to Yes by default. If not, change it to Yes.
Hope this will work for you. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
Thanks.

Hi Sabbir,
Thanks for the swift advise! It works. Thanks! One more question - it seems that everytime my user makes a new edit, the full set of documents (both edited and without edit) will turn up in my synced google drive. Is it possible that only the replaced documents will be uploaded/show up?

Hello,
Since you have connected your Jotform with your google drive, every time an edit makes to a submission, it should automatically updated to your google drive. But It shouldn't be updating the submission along side keeping the original one intact.
Please can you send us a scenario or a screenshot of your submission in your google drive where both of your original and edited submission stays after you edit a submission?
Thanks.

internhongkongAnswered on September 22, 2017 06:43 AMHi Sabbir,
Sure. Please see the attached PNG. This is a testing i did - one at 4:30 pm
and another at 4:32 pm. For the latter, i made one edit (see the two pdf).
Thanks,

Hello,
If you have an upload field in your form, the form could be resubmitted with the field already filled in on edit mode.
You can use conditional logic to remove or disable that field on edit mode.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks.

internhongkongAnswered on September 26, 2017 12:43 AMHi Sabbir,
I understand - allow me to clarify that i wish those fields/documents, that
are correctly inputted by the users (and does not require edit), do not
duplicate in the edit submission. I would only want the edited
field/documents to reach my drive. Would that be feasible from tech side
point of view?
Best,

Just to double check and be on the same page, you want when the submission is edited that the PDF file in the Google Drive is replaced with the edited file?
Because it is currently creating a new file with each edit.
Please confirm so we can forward this to our backend team for a possible implementation.
We'll wait for your response.
Thank you!

Yes, that is correct. Replacement is the word.

Dear Sau Yi,
As per your request, I have forwarded a feature request to our software development team in order to consider implementing a feature regarding when a user updates a submission, the submission PDF in the integrated Google Drive Folder should be replaced automatically with the old one instead of being recreated.
We are going to inform you if the feature will be implemented.
Thank you very much for your attention.
