I tried with the plugin found in the text input area--

I checked your webpage and I did not find any JotForm on it. I can see that you are using a self-hosted Wordpress website. Please try to re-embed the form using this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/4-Adding-Forms-to-Wordpress-org-Version.
If it is still the same, please try using the iFrame code. Here's a guide: Getting-the-Form-iFrame-Code.
Is JotForm a replacement for Mailchimp?
No, it is not a replacement for Mailchimp. We actually have an integration with Mailchimp. Please check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/163-How-to-Integrate-with-MailChimp.
Let us know if you are still having issues. Thank you.

thanks-
is there a way I can make a form but have it inherit my style from my website I am adding it too?
I tried CSS to remove the shadow or adjust the input fields and I never got it to work.
