Can I add a field to previously submitted forms?

I want to adds a notes field to previously submitted forms. Is this possible.
I have added it so all future submissions will have it, but I would like the previously submitted forms to have it as well.

You may add new fields to the existing forms that have already received submissions. However, for the submissions already received, the new field will be blank. If you want to add some data to the existing submissions, you'll be required to edit the submissions from the submissions view.
