Size of text fields not changing

I made a change to one of my forms and made the character size larger, but the size of the fields is not changing.  I'm not sure why it's not changing because it shows that the form has been saved.  The original size of the fields was 20 characters and I changed it to 90, but when I view the form the fields are still the original size.  Can you tell me why this is happening and how I can fix it?  Thanks!

The width of the form is set to 280px. You can increase the form's width in the Form Designer. If you do this, the width of other fields will increase as well. Here's a screen capture:
