How can I grey out/remove dropdown menu options based on the size of a number?

Asked by barq on September 05, 2012 at 07:38 AM

    Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible with Jotform to grey out (the best solution), or alternatively remove, items in a dropdown menu based on the number input in a text field? In this case it would be for greying out certain lengths of video production (in dropdown menu) based on the size of the budget.

Looking forward to hearing from you

    All the best

    Anders

    Anders,

I am afraid we do not have this feature yet. Dropdown fields cannot have dynamic options, that is, options that conditionally change depending on the entered value on a previous field.

A workaround would be to create multiple varying instances of that drop down menu, then display the appropriate one depending on the user's input.

    Here's an example:

Notice how the options change as you select different options on the first dropdown?
