How can I get accurate addresses submitted?

    Hello,

One of the most important pieces of data we collect is an address and location. So far we have been using GPS Location widget. But the data that we receive is often inaccurate. Please see the screenshot attached for the difference between the address/GPS data we received and the actual location (as listed on google maps).

Do you have any ideas of how we can collect this information accurately?

Possibly in some cases the input is incorrect, but the widget is not the easiest to use. For example, if I own a business that is listed on google maps and I start to type in the name of that business into the search bar (which is pre-populated), it does not appear as a suggestion. Even if I search for and select a city name eg "Jakarta" I get a notification that the location is not found. So this means that the only option is to drag the pin across the world.

I looked through the other options for map/location widgets but did not yet find anything suitable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Please be noted that the widget is using the Google Maps API in order to work, so it will show the Google maps actually.

What could happen is that the user didn't allow the Browser to access the location (which is needed for the widget to work) and in that case, occasionally, a random location could show.

Could that be the case with your widget?
