I have set up a SMTP client to use my email address for the from address. I get the email from 'eli@allurish.com' but the friendly from says =?UTF-8?B??= <eli@allurish.com>

I'd like to have it say Eli Fillmore <eli@allurish.com>

    What's the trick?

I also tried the verified address method and it's JotForm <eli@allurish.com>

As far as I understand you want to set your own email address to notification and autoresponder emails instead of default JotForm's noreply@jotform.com. I have checked and seen that you have already set up your own SMTP settings successfully as seen in the following guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/244-How-to-Setup-SMTP-for-a-Form

Your SMTP sender email eli@allurish.com is working correctly as you can see the example screenshot below:

I think you should change your sender name in your domain provider settings. It appears to be only "Eli". Also, it seems like your domain doesn't support converting the Content-Type to UTF-8. For these settings, please contact your domain provider.

Also, please check the following guides for detailed information regarding "Sender name" in notification emails:

    I hope this helps.
