Including text within matrix answer cells?

Asked by ysuassessment on September 05, 2012 at 01:22 PM

I am building a form that will be used for evaluating reports by teams of reviewers, using a rubric. The matrix question works well, except I would like to include descriptive text in each answer cell of the matrix, to help guide reviewers when filling out the form. Any suggestions?

I did find this post (http://www.jotform.com/answers/85213-Different-hover-text-for-each-matrix-row) on the forum, but it refers to hover text. I would like the text to appear in the boxes.

The only way to really get text in there is to download the forms source, edit it and upload the source to your webserver.

I have highlighted the lines to put in your text in the screenshot of your forms source code:

You are most likely going to want to control the formatting, font and possibly color of this text you have added to the form. We are happy to help with some CSS to do that, just tells us how you would like the text rendered and we will do our best to help out.

Starting point however is to obtain the forms source code, add your desired text and upload to your server.

Ok, thanks for the guidance. I will start here and come back if I would like to change the formatting.
