Google Analytics Goal Tracking Event setup

    Hi Team,

I hope you are doing great. We have setup bakery order forms on our website using the embedded option, and wish to track the achievement of submissions of these forms using Google Analytics.

We have effectively included the GA Widget in each form, but then since these are embedded forms we assume we have to setup a Goal setup using Event Conditions.

We have no clue how to setup the Goal Event conditions though (please see configuration options on screenshot attached). Please help.

    Thanks in advance!

    All the best,

    Max

Sorry but I am not familiar with the app on your screenshot. I am also not quite sure how you'd like it to work with your form and what you are trying to achieve.

Perhaps you can do that with a custom thank you page? Example, when the form is submitted, it'd redirect to your custom thank you page with some embedded scripts provided by your app that'd trigger the event? Here's how to use custom thank you page http://www.jotform.com/help/38-How-to-Redirect-to-a-Page-After-Form-Submission

Also, I believe the GA widget works the same way when embedded or not. It should still give the same result.

    Thanks

Hi, thanks for your reply. The thing is I just want to be able to track the form submission goal. I just thought it would need to be tracked as an "event" in Google; but if otherwise how can we do this without using a thank you page?

No documentation is provided nor solution discussed in forums (and I've already seen many people ask this same question over and over).

So to recap, my form has the GA widget activated, and it is embedded. How do I track it in Google Analytics?

Thanks in advance for any advise to achieve this concrete goal: tracking! :)

    All the best,

    Max

If you put the Google Analytics widget in your form and added Google Analytics Universal Tracking ID, the data should appear in the "Home" Dashboard:

    Hi Team,

This does not help. I know that is the way we can access our reports, super basic.

The question Im asking is related to how to setup the goal to keep track of which and how many visitors are submitting our JotForms that are embedded in our website.

I see many people asking this same question, so will continue the thread to boil down a proper answer which solves this situation so your solution can be more useful. So far it is not clear HOW I can track on Google Analytics whether a visitor submitted my embedded form or not.

Thanks in advance for your kind support!

    All the best,

Maybe our built-in solution would work for you. It is Form analytics and below is one of your forms so you can check numbers:

    Could that work for you?

Or Google analytics is a must, so we can check further?

    Thank you!

    Hi Team,

Well, not really TBH. We like to track our forms as part of a whole, not separately from all else so those analytics don't work for us. Thought you would have it solved, but anyway we will go thru the redirect solution then.

    All the best,

Please try, I will check the Google Analytics widget further and get back to you with more information.

    Thank you for your patience.
