How to disable form auto save feature?

    Hi,

As of the last few days, it seems as the option to switch to version 3 and disable autosave has vanished from this area: https://www.jotform.com/myaccount/settings

How can I disable autosave now?

Are you referring to the Form Autosave in the build mode? If so, unfortunately, it is not possible to disable the autosave feature in the new version builder and there is no save button either. So, the form should be saving automatically as you make the changes. You may also use Ctrl+Z to undo the changes made to the form. If you want to revert the form to an earlier working version, you may revert it from the form revision history.

    Hope this information helps!

I don't think you understood my question. In a perfect world, yes I would be referring to a feature which would allow me to disable autosave in any build (i.e. version 3 or 4); however, for whatever reasons, jot has not allowed this.

Eventually, I will probably find a new vendor for my forms because of it (this can literally cost me thousands because Jot is not allowing this feature); autosave (for me) really sucks.

The workaround for about the last 6 months: I was able to go into my account settings and revert to the Version 3 build (or whatever the number of the prior build) and that version allowed me to manually disable autosave.

It seems though, as Jot has taken away the ability to revert to a prior version of the build.... or they have moved the setting to another page.  How can I revert to a prior build?  Note: this was possible just 2 or 3 days ago.

How can I revert to a prior build?

Unfortunately, the version 3 has been discontinued now.

Could you please confirm if you are referring to the AutoSave of the form builder to make sure that we are on the same page? Please see the screenshot below that I was referring to:

We have another feature which is called Auto-fill feature that can be set from the Form settings page. This Auto-fill feature saves the information on the browser entered by the user in the fields. If you are referring to this feature, please refer to the guide below that can help you with this.

We will wait for your response. Thank you!

Yes, I'm referring to "auto save"

This feature in V4 is called Continuous Save. The form will be automatically saved after a change is made to the form. This way you no longer have to worry about losing any edits. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop Auto save in the new form builder.

Thanks, I'm well aware of the feature and that it is continuous.  It's ridiculous to make it mandatory.

When one is spending 10's of thousands on advertising, the greatest risk is not forgetting to save an edit.  The greatest risk is that one screws something up on the form.... and then the Jot takes it upon themselves to autosave..... it goes live instantly, and costs me thousands.  That's the biggest risk!

If I go in to edit a form and mess something up, I should be able to exit out of the form without saving it.

Yes I'm well aware one can hit the back button or go into the archive.  This is hit and miss technology.  And my mistakes cost me real-time while I'm searching for the archive or attempt to reverse the change.

Please pass this on to rethink their stance on mandatory autosave. I cannot stay with a Jot if this cannot be changed.

Thank you for the feedback and apologies for inconveniences this may have caused.  I am sending it to our Level 2 to add it as a feature. I may not give you an estimated assignment time (ETA) when this might be released, but once we get an update we will post it here.
