How to make a choice (or dropdown) where the options include previously submitted answers?

In my application form I ask for the affiliation of the submitter. They come from cca. 50 schools.

It would be easier if the form offered previously typed in school names as selectable options. This way the results would not contain the same school with different spellings.

Of course a new submission should also have the possibility not to choose, but to give a name not on the list.

What tools would I need to achieve this with Jotform?

    Thanks,

    Gabor

If you want to allow our user to pick a school name from the list of options, but also allow them to add a school name that is not on the list, I would suggest you to use Single Choice (Radio button) field with other option that is enabled.

However, if you also want to allow future users to select an option that was added by another user then you can use one of the user contributed widgets that we have:

    User Contributed Radio Buttons

    User Contributed Checkbox

    User Contributed Dropdown

Hope this meet what you are looking for.

Thanks a lot, the user contributed widgets are exactly what I need.
