I am having trouble with my custom merge tags.
The fields are not showing up in the drop down list or on the body of the email.
In the body of the email it says is *|MMERGE4|* and this is how it shows up when tested.
I use this tag 4 times in the email. On 1 test out of 6 it has worked once and then only for one of the 4 times it appears in the email.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

May we know if you are working on MailChimp email notification? Please note that these tags won't work with JotForm email notifications. This has to be done at MailChimp. JotForm has its own field tags that work only on its system.
Anyway, if the tags don't work on your email, perhaps it does not exist anymore? I suggest you take again the tags. Please refer to this guide from MailChimp https://kb.mailchimp.com/merge-tags/getting-started-with-merge-tags.
