I am trying to build a simple online order form collecting credit card details

    I want to create an online order form where people will choose from a 5-8 items + shipping. They will pay by providing their credit card details (Visa & mastercard) only, and I will then complete the credit card payment transaction via our merchant account (so not using Paypal, etc).

     

    A) Can I do this securely - is it just a case of using https?

    B) Is there any kind of pre-prepared template, or do I build the whole form from scratch?

    Yes, we have secure SSL forms and the form contents would be sent to you securely. However, they would not be kept encrypted on our servers. So, we do not recommend this approach. You would be doing it on your own risk.
