    How do we consolidate our text box info to just one line instead of three?

    Asked by baxleyllc on September 08, 2012 at 11:49 AM

    It eats up too much vertical space and we want to knock out the line breaks?  Also - why is our form font in Bold?  We chose Arial?  Thank you!

    Hi,

    Are you refering to text area field?
    A text area field in contrast to text box field, allows multi-row inputs.
    A text box field is usually a one-liner field.

    In Form Tools in the form builder, you can find this 2 fields. And they have different useage.

    Would you use the textbox field in your form instead?

    As for the form's font type, you can change this by clicking on

    1. Setup & Embed

    2. Preferences

    4. Form Styles

    5. and then Font Family

    Hope this help. Please inform us if you have further inquiry.

    Thanks.

    @baxleyllc

    I far as I understood you'd like to format your text area label to have them in a single line. To do that you have to make the specific field labels alignment to top so it will expand over to your form width. Check this screen:

    ---

    Regarding the bold font, inject the following CSS code to your form to make it normal instead of bold.

    .form-label-top, .form-label-left, .form-label-right {

    font-weight: normal !important;

    }

    Follow this guide: How to Inject Custom CSS Codes

    Just follow my colleague's instruction above to learn how to select a font family for your form.

    Thanks!

    Worked like a charm and combined both answers  - from Jonathan and idark saving loads of space.
    Last question - is there a way to extend the text box size so it lines up with the rest of the form a bit better?

    Yes, make sure the Text Box field is selected (highlighted by clicking on it) then you click on size in the toolbar at the top of the form builder. You can also use the Label Align 2 options to the left of it to align your fields.
