    Payment System

Asked by maltabybike on September 10, 2012 at 08:43 AM

I would like to have a payment system where customers can give their credit card details and immediately a deposit is taken. If on the day of the booking the customers cancel or do not show up I would like to have the facility to automatically (or manually) take the balance of the booking, very similar to hotel bookings.

Can you suggest a suitable payment system? At the moment I use Paypal but such feature is not possible.

Hello, unfortunately there is no real one-click easy way to do this just yet although this may be something that most likely becomes easier in the future. We have provided JotForm Members with several options to recieve payments for your services and products to make this as easy as possible. The way we currently have our system take payments with it is that customers don't pay until after they've submitted the form with which it then takes them to a payment gateway to make a payment and even then there is still a possibility that the payment will not go through and end up being incomplete.

A suggestion to start with to do this would be that you could do this by configuring the payment tool of your choice depending on which suits your needs best and then you could you could use Conditional Logic to disable the Submit button until a payment option is selected followed by integrating this all with Google Docs Integration into google's spreadsheets to keep a booking log which which will update if they change it or you can just as easily manually update it.

I hope this helps and if you need further assistance or have more questions feel free to ask us.

I think Paypal Pro might resolve the first part (accept credit cards) , however, like my colleague Deygus has stated, this cannot be accomplished in a one click process.

I think in your case, the best solution would be to download the source code of the form and look for somoene to make a server side programming (PHP) , so you might get accomplished what you are looking for
