Hiding pre-populated fields in email

    Hello,

I have fields with pre-populated values that are on SKIPPED pages. (So people doesn't actually fill them.) But in the confirmation emails, those fields are included because they are not empty. Can I hide them somehow in the emails? (I can't use Placehorders for these fields for some reason, it has to be pre-populated.)

    Thanks in advance,
    Andras

How are the field pre-populated? With the URL parameters? I made a few tests and if the fields are pre-populated with the URL parameters, clear on submit and clear on being hidden form settings options will not work and the data will be shown inside of the email.

The only way to remove them is to edit the email template and remove them from the email table.

Those fields have default values that I wrote inside them in the Form Builder. And I don't want to remove them totally from an email, because if a page that contains one of them is not skipped, I need those informations... Can you add this as a feature request? Being able to hide pre-populated fields in an email that are on skipped pages.

I think another workaround that can work already to hiding the fields on the email that are on skipped pages is to use Conditions.

See the user guide: How to Send Email Based on User's Answer

You can make the email content different (prepopulated fields hidden) using conditions base on the skip pages on the form.

Basically different response to skip pages will yield different email result to the respondents of the form.

I hope this help also. Let us know your thought on this.

Thanks, that seems a good workaround. Is there any limit on how many email versions can be set?
