    Request for table creation tools

Asked by pandcproductions on September 10, 2012 at 11:20 PM

I use jotform for everything.  I even have whole websites where all of my content is coming from jotform.  just delete the submit button and your form is just a webpage.

I build my websites using wordpress and I use a lot of tables.  Nothing works well so I settle for pasting from excel or using tablizer.

If you guys had a table tool it would make things so much easier.

Here is how I envision it:

-drag the tool into the form

-In properties, choose your grid pattern. (i.e. 3x9)

-In each cell you can enter text or html (html would allow for graphics.)

-The cell would not need to perform any mathmatical function like excell.  It would be simply for display. (if you could do the math that would be sweet)

    PRACTICAL APPLICATION:

If I had an order form, I could use the table at the top to create a nice feature comparison chart to show my different packages.

Please make my table dreams come true.  Thanks.

    Thank you for your asking.

Actually, the Free Text (HTML) tool already serves this purpose - i.e., displaying text and HTML elements. The only problem is that it does not have the table creation tools that are present in the Compose Email screen for email alerts.

With that said, I have added your request in our user wishlist.

In the meantime, try using 3rd party table generators such as this, this, and this, then paste the generated codes onto a Free Text field (via the HTML edit button) in your form.

You may also create a dummy notification, then use it as a table creation playground. Afterwards, you may paste the content to your Free Text field.
