Microsoft Flow: Submissions not triggering actions in Flow

Asked on November 01, 2017 at 05:07 PM

I tried to create MS Flow to test, where form submission will trigger few actions (saving resume into Sharepoint folders, and add record into SharePoint list, and send email further for approval.

For some reason I don't see that Flow is ever triggered.

If I checked Integration settings and see few Webhooks related to flow. But it seems never triggered. How do I troubleshoot it?

It could be an issue with the Sharepoint credentials. Please check also if your sign-on account is connected to the flow.

You can review the resolution provided by our colleague on the same discussion thread here

I hope this help. Let us know if issue remains.

No, there is no any runs. I tried from

statch, created separated simple JotForm, just for test. Tnen created new basic Flow, and same result, nothing was triggered in first place.

I created new MS Flow with one simple step, just to send Test notification. But looks like webhook from JotForm is not triggering anything. Somewhere is disconnect.

I checked form Integratiin settings in a form itself (JotForm side), show Webhook integration and noticed that webhook URL is “” format. Should be webhook URL point to Microsoft Flow domain rather than  jotforms?

MS Flow connection shows ok, it’s authenticated and shows now error.

Could you please let us know which action did you use for Sharepoint in your Flow:

So we can try to test and recreate the problem.

    We'll wait for your response.

    Thank you!

As I mentioned, I have issues with any Flow I created and want trigger om JotForm. Originally I created for SharePoint but as cant make it run, I created completely new test from (to eliminate if its issue with one specific form) and created another simple Flows (without SharePoint) to try.

None of time I was able to trigger. There are simply no runs, and Flow never triggered after form submitted. So there is no errors, simply nothing happens for some reason. Anything wrong with my account? Bc issues not with Flow actions but with trigger (JotForm) first. Is here way to troubleshoot Webhook in JotForm integrations settings? To see if anything get POSTed and posted in correct address?

Original Flow I created with SharePoint actions, but problem is not with step but that for some reason I cant get anything triggered.

I checked your form settings and it seems you didn't enable the "HTTP post data to thank you page" which is needed to capture the POST data into your webhooks

Here is the guide on how to setup webhook

And some PHP webhook script examples

You can check out this guide on how to process/capture data from jotform via PHP which is being used on webhooks

    Hope this helps,

I have this POST active for another forms. It doesn't work either. I am not really familiar with PHP, as I am not developer. I simply expect create workflow in MS that should work. If it doesn't then some issues with integrations and I cant rely on that and give our HR department process with using both. As we want use JotForms for many things to automate many processes, upload files, etc.

    I have following question:

In Integration-Webhook settings I see that MS Flow created the following URL for webhook (automatically).

Is this right endpoint for webhook?

Just want to confirm this is correct POST URL. As all other webhooks usually have POST URL to external domains. (send submissions to your endpoint) . In my understanding endpoint should be MS Flow domain. How this all works?

How then this form make POST to MS Flow? First to jotform page and then to MS Flow?

I will have to check this a bit more since I'm having a difficulty with accessing my Sharepoint account. I'll get back to you as soon as I finish testing.

    Thank you for your patience.

Thank you! But first I want get working any simple test app. Don't need SharePoint. Just simple "Hello" word. As I don't see Run History on any. Something broken, as I tested with and I See form is posting data as required. But nothing coming to MS Flow endpoint. Can be Webhook settings?  Or their format (MS Flow) changed and not able read JotForm posted data?

I am not using SharePoint at this point. Just want trigger sanyhting

    Thank you for your patience.

First of all, please be mindful that the Webhook integration and link in it are automatically created when the Flow is created.

I tested the Microsoft Flow further, and I was able to replicate this issue, the submitting of the form doesn't trigger on Microsoft Flow's side.

I will forward this issue to our backend team for further investigation.

We will inform you further through this thread.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I contacted MS and opened ticket on their side, they looking into as well, but stated its not MS connector, so they will contact  developer of connectors for details.

I am curious if I can create Webhook manually myself rather than it created automatically by Flow connector  and try it?

I tried similar as shown in JotForm's blog and cant get it working either.

I am not sure with webhook as I haven't tried it yet, I will do a test later. But you can make the received email from jotform as a trigger point too.

Yes, I was thinking about it as work around, in worst case, but much easier directly from forms as can use all fields from form directly, rather then trying parse email body, as at the end I want few actions with saving file, updating records, trigger approval, etc.

You are right the downside of that workaround is you cannot select a specific fields. I just hope jotform connector will be fixed soon, our back-end team is working on it.

Thank you! As it opens lots of options to create whole process of HR hiring, uploading scanned papers documents into SharePoint team sites with routing, add tasks into lists, and various automation scenarios

I am having the same exact problem. We migrated to Dynamics 365 online one of the reasons being that we could integrate Jotform via Flow easier. As it seems at the moment, we cannot do that because there is no trigger registered by Flow.

I am interested to be in the loop whenever this is fixed. Hopefully soon!

Yes, it looks like it working! I testing few forms, and able to trigger flows so far! I will let you know if further issues.

Just to confirm: JotForms  doesn't use webhooks to trigger MS Flow?

JotForm is connected to MS Flow via API. An API is called when a new response is submitted.
