Is there a way to take credit card information securely in a form without charging the card? The credit card is only used to secure their appointment.

Yes its possible to authorize the credit card only. So that no payment is taken.

    How to Enable Payment Authorization

Alternatively you can use the purchase order tool to collect the payment information without charging the customer. Note that this method does not ask for a credit card.

Ok, I can see how those would work but all I need to do is collect the
following information on my services contract form. The credit card will be
charged the day of the service through my payment processing system.
    Credit Card #
    Exp Date
    Security Code
    Billing Zip

Unfortunately, we do not allow collection of Credit Card information as this is considered as sensitive information that may be used for phishing activities. You can check this link for more information: https://www.jotform.com/terms. If you need to process payments or authorization, you will need to use our Payment fields such as Paypal, Stripe, etc. You can check all available Payment fields in JotForm in the Form Elements > Payments tab.
