Retention of data from edited forms

Asked by convenus on February 02, 2011 at 06:09 AM

I have created a form that contains a number of booking options. As these options fill up i have deleted the option to avoid over booking. When I now look at the submitted forms the data on the forms containing the now deleted data has gone. Is there anyway in which i can alter forms but retain data received from deleted options?

    Thanks

No, there is no way to change your form but keep the old fields on the Submissions or Reports. Before making any new changes on your form, you should always download the existing data.

A trick that can work is to instead of deleting old fields, hide them using Conditions. For example, if you have an "old" field and you would like to hide it, create a condition such as this:

Show "old" field if name equals to "DISABLEDFIELDS".

Since this condition will never be true, those fields will not be shown on the form.
