I am working with a free account.
We have 3 email addresses set up to receive the jot form.
I need to remove one and add a new one, but for some reason I am being asked to upgrade my account.
Is there any way around that ?

You are working with a free account and you defined 3 email addresses previously.
But now, we have limited to 1 in email address for free account.
If you want to define 3 email addresses, Please upgrade your account.
