How can I add custom information taken from the answers they have submitted in the confirmation email recipients receive after submitting a form?

You can add an email auto-responder to your form that can be customized, it can also contain the submitted info and you're free to decide which fields are included.

I'm trying to add information that isnt currently a "field".
For example, users are asked to select an event from a multiple choice menu. When they choose the event I have set up some conditions for a piece of text to "show" which includes the event information.
I want the text, which corresponds to the event they have chosen, to be included in the confirmation email. How do I do that?

Unfortunately, the text cannot be included on the email template at least that you manually add it. However, you may create different templates and send them according to the selections, please check this guide for details: https://www.jotform.com/help/167-How-to-Send-Email-Based-on-User-s-Answer
I hope this helps.
