    Hi waltervw,

    You form didn't popup when I tried to click the button, it opens a new tab. Have you change your embed code to popup? To get your popup code, do the following;

    1. Open your form in the form builder

    2. Click Setup & Embed tab

    3. Click Embed Forms

    4. Select Pop-up embed option

    5. Copy the provided code and customize it if you like

    Please check image below:

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Rodjit

    I changed it now but still not what I want. When I click the button, it opens a complete page. I’d rather want my original page to stay open and a smaller window with the form to pop up. Is this possible?

    This is what I do:

    I choose the Select Pop-up embed option and copy it on a page in the website.
    What I see is the name of the form.
    I make this text invisible because I can’t really do aything with this text.
    Then I go to the button, choose link and put this link : http://form.jotformeu.com/form/22572889655369

    This way it works, but not really as a pop up.

    What am I doing wrong here?
    Many thanks

    Hi waltervw,

    I have checked your page source and all I can see is the link to your form, not the whole Popup script.

    Please try to edit your button link and enter the whole script, you can customize your form and keep the button and not the name of your form (as you've mention), below is supposed to be your codes on your website;

    <a target="_blank" href="javascript:void( window.open('http://www.jotformeu.com/form/22572889655369', 'blank','scrollbars=yes,toolbar=no,width=700,height=500'))"><img class="xr_ap" src="index_htm_files/840.png" alt="" title="" onmousemove="xr_mo(this,0,event)" style="left: 547px; top: 931px; width: 92px; height: 28px;"></a>

    Also, please change your form URL from your codes before placing it on your website, so this means that from

     http://form.jotformeu.com/form/22572889655369

    it becomes

    http://www.jotformeu.com/form/22572889655369

    Hope this solved your problem. Please contact us anytime for any further concerns.

    Hi Rodjit,

    Thanks for your reply and your effort to help me out.

    Xara webdesigner is a great program to work with however I do not understand much of this HTML jibber jabber. Therefore I’m sorry to say that I have no clue how to change the button with this code. Can you tell me what you mean with this?

    Many thanks

    Basically you will be Adding a Form to Your Website by using the embed code and placing it into the source code of your website. Usually this is done with the use of your Website's CMS Builder but depending on how your website is run you may also have some sort of HTML or Visual (WSIWYG) Editor to enter and save the embed code you were given by JotForm into it.

    If you are unsure of which Embed Code to use for your website please see this guide to help direct you into figuring that out: http://www.jotform.com/help/67-So-Which-Form-Embed-Code-Should-I-Use

    Depending on where you are applying it into your website will depend on where in the source code it will be placed. If you have an HTML Editor via some website tools it will apply it appropriately.

    Basically with the code suggested to change to you would need to edit and update that so that it displays correctly.

    If that is the case then you need to edit it where your form is located that and then update it.

    In your case you should log into your account here: http://jotformeu.com     (http://jotformeu.com/form/22495828950364) and update then save your form there since that is where your forms are located on our servers.

    I hope this helps and if you need further assistance let us know.

    Dear Deygus,
    As I wrote in my original mail, I would just like a pop up form to open when one pushes a button.
    this is where you have to look:
    home page
    at the bottom are 3 rectangles with a button: "meer info"
    when pushed this butto, a pop up should open where people can register.
    so the question is: how or where can I insert the code in to this button?
    I'm using the embedded codes for Xara web designer 7
    many thanks

    Its quite difficult for us to give precise instruction on how to set this up as none of are Xara experts.

    But, the code my colleague Rodjit supplied above will work.

    --

    You need to edit the onclick event of the link and add his code.

    javascript:void( window.open('http://www.jotformeu.com/form/22572889655369', 'blank','scrollbars=yes,toolbar=no,width=700,height=500'));

    --

    Are able to edit the source directly?

    If you are, scroll down to this section:

    You need to change the line that starts <a href to:

    <a target="_blank" href="#" onclick="javascript:void( window.open('http://www.jotformeu.com/form/22572889655369', 'blank','scrollbars=yes,toolbar=no,width=700,height=500'))">

      <img class="xr_ap" src="index_htm_files/25.png" alt="" title="" onmousemove="xr_mo(this,0,event)" style="left: 547px; top: 931px; width: 92px; height: 28px;">

     </a>

    --

    As shown in this screenshot:

    I know this is relatively complex stuff, but you are trying to add relatively complex functionality.

    --

    In developers tools in Chrome, I am able to edit source code on the fly and can prove that this works:

    I am sorry that this isnt any easier, but make a copy of your webpage (for backup purposes) and try experimenting!

    Dear FXR,

    Thanks for the info. This is indeed what I want to see. However, I have no idea on how to get access to the codes as you did. I’ve changed some HTML before for other purposes but the website was made in dreamweaver. No idea how this works with XARA.

    I will get back to them and ask.

    Many thanks

    Hi Walter,

    Like FXR said, if you have direct access to your web files you can edit it directly there. Just get your website index.htm file, find your Form URL as what my colleague highlighted above and then replace it with your form's pop-up code.

    Also, I've made a quick search in google to get information about adding external HTML to xara web desingers but unfornately none of the results are useful, I guess. Well I think it would be best to ask Xarah Support about this.

    Hope they'll be able to help you with this. Thanks!
