File upload field is required but acting like it is optional

I have a condition on my form that if you answer "yes" to the previous question, it shows and requires a file upload field. I have tested this and it looks as if it is required, but then it lets me proceed to the next page and submit the form without uploading a file. 

I see you are using a condition to mark the upload field as required

If you disable (or delete) this condition

And open the properties (gear icon) for the upload field. You can mark it as required permanently there instead.

Then your form will work for you.

Not sure why it wasn't working. Possibly because it is marked as required while it is hidden.

You might get different behaviour if you show the field first, then require it.
