I am interested in a Starter package, but do not know if it will be sufficient. Can I speak with someone please.

Unfortunately, we do not have a voice contact center to communicate with you via phone. But you may ask us here and provide us details with your concern.
In addition, you may upgrade or downgrade your subscription with us without having any worries about your account. You may continue using your free subscription so long as you are within the limits allotted for the said plan.

That sounds very fair. Confirm that if I begin with starter, I can 'up' my plan if necessary.
Then cancel when done? Thanks for the help!

Yes. You may use the Free subscription plan if it suits your requirement. You may upgrade/downgrade the account to the next available plan as you needed. You may have already noticed that there is a holiday promotional offer running with 50% off on yearly and bi-yearly subscription plans. Please take a look at our pricing page for more information on the subscription plans available.
