Code appears at head of email when I forward a submission

Asked by convenus on September 18, 2012 at 11:49 AM

Hi - I am trying to forward a submission including a standard text before the submission info using Jotform.

Each time i do this all sends Ok but when the email is received there is a lot of code at the top of the email body.

I am trying to forward submissions to a third party to include the submission details. Can you please advise how I can avoid the code being included or an alternative method.

    Thanks for all your help

    Hi,

Which of your forms is this happening on?

Are you forwarding a notification email of a submission or something else?

    Hi Simon,

I tested forwarding the submissions to an email on some of your forms from the JotForm administration however I was not able to replicate the HTML code, can you post the test form which you are using?

We'll await for your response, Thanks!

Hi - I am using the following form:
    https://www.jotform.com/submissions/22012555135947
    I am doing the following:
    Open submissions
    Selecting " Forward Submission"
Adding text to the start of the form, above the submission details in the form of an explanation.
I am trying to use this to forward details of each submission to a supervisor for authority to attend a meeting. I would also like to add a link to a simple Jotform that the Supervisor ticks and submits.
At the moment I get the code above the letter text. Please see my question submitted to the Forum
    Thanks for your help.
    Kind regards
    Simon

    Hi - I think I may have a solution.

Previously I was copying from a Word Doc but i have just tried by copying text to text edit before pasting into Jotform forward submission option. This seems to have solved things - obviously stripped out some rough settings in text. Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards
