How can I set up a payment option that allows users to type in their desired donation amount?

I would love to have a payment option where the user can type in the amount - for donations and/or an option of a sliding scale where the user can determine the amount they wish to pay depending on their income level, etc.

We run workshops and retreats where we wish to not turn people away for lack of funds and have others who are willing to put in more to balance that out.

We have been making separate choices for them, but that is limiting, more complicated, and more confusing.

    Thanks

This looks to be related to your first thread here https://www.jotform.com/answers/1318807

Now I better understand what you meant by having a "payment option". Since your goal is to allow your users to type in the amount of their desired donation, you can setup a donation form like the one showed on the guide I'm linking below.

    Complete guide: Setting-up-a-Custom-Recurring-Donation-Form

If you only want a one-time donation and not a recurring one, you can change the NUMBER OF PAYMENTS down to just 1 so it will only charge them once.

Alternatively, you can also set your PAYMENT TYPE to USER DEFINED AMOUNT if you won't need a recurring or one-time donation.

I'm using PAYPAL in the example above but this should apply the same to any payment processor.
