When a customer uploads their documentation and sends it to our website via an embeded jotform submission form, is it scanned for viruses?

Our website provides document editing services. The customer uploads their document and submits it through an embedded jotform. If it is not scanned for viruses, how can we accomplish that?

No, we don't do virus scanning on files uploaded via your forms. You are responsible for checking the files uploaded on your own forms.

If you do not allow potential virus-carrying files anyway, (.exe, .vbs, etc...) there should be little to no chance that you'll receive an infected file. Of course, you should practice extreme caution before opening files.

My suggestion would be to install an anti-virus software on your computer to (locally) check files you download (from Jotform's server) for viruses, etc.
