We need to add a barcode to our form and our scanners can't read a QR code. They can only read a classic UPC barcode. I've been looking through the forum and it seems that there might be a way to do this but none of the threads explain how to do it. Just how to fix it when it's broken.

Unfortunately we don't have a barcode widget. But we do have a QR code widget.
I realize this is not what you want so as a workaround you could create the barcode online and add it to your form.
For example:

The problem is that the barcode needs to be generated by a field on our form. Is there anyway to request a classic barcode widget be designed? I'm sure other customers could benefit from it as well.

Please try the new barcode reader: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/barcode_scanner.
Let us know how it goes.
