The fields won't stay on their order after I added a new field

However, a separate issue has come up. When I've added new fields to the form, the submissions didn't adjust (stay in their original column). They stayed were they were entered. Is this a normal function of Jotform?

I'm sorry, but I do not fully understand the problem. Do you mean to say that the order of the fields in the submissions page is incorrect? Would you mind explaining further? A screenshot would be helpful.

When I developed the form initially, I had a field like "metrics" that contained "comments, views, shares, likes." This worked until I need to alphabetize them and add new ones. For example, I alpha'd them and added new options like, "CLICKS, comments, likes, shares, views".

When I uploaded new data using the new format for the options in the question, my original entry for "views" stayed in the same place while the headers moved. In the original case, "views" was the second option. In the revised order, "views" was the last option. 

Does that make my question clearer?

Your question is still not very clear on what the challenge is however I will try to answer the question based on my understanding of your explanation.

From what I understand is you are asking if its standard for the form when you add a new field in a then the submissions field arrangement will be same as arrangement of fields on the form.

This is absolutely true. If i have two fields and I add a third field in between the two fields then when I go to submission page the arrangement would be the same as arrangement on the form.
