    Duplicate lightbox embedding glitch

    Asked by barsatanbuilders on September 24, 2012 at 03:47 PM

    Hello, I love using the JotForm builder for my site. My concern today is when duplicating the lightbox code thruout my page, it causes multiple forms to to overlap at once. but if i just keep one lighbox code on the page, the problem goes away...

    Any tips? Thanks!

    Zach,

    Sorry for this inconvenience. Apparently, it isn't quite possible to embed the same form in different lightboxes to the same page, yet. We have already added this to our feature wishlist though.

    I suggest that you embed it once as a lightbox, then one more time as a pop-up.

    Hope this helps!

    Sorry, it must have slipped my mind. It is actually possible to embed a lightboxed form multiple times.

    Just make sure that the script part of the embed codes is copied to the page only once.

    For example:

    <script src="//max.jotfor.ms/min/g=feedback2" type="text/javascript">
    new JotformFeedback({
    formId:'22647139475158',
    base:'http://jotform.com/',
    windowTitle:'Barsatan Builders Contact',
    background:'#FFA500',
    fontColor:'#FFFFFF',
    type:false,
    height:500,
    width:700
    });
    </script>

    Then you may duplicate the link part for as many times as you like, just make sure that it retains the same class. For example:

    <a class="lightbox-22647139475158" style="cursor:pointer;color:blue;text-decoration:underline;">Link 1</a>
    <a class="lightbox-22647139475158" style="cursor:pointer;color:blue;text-decoration:underline;">Link 2</a>

    Hope this helps.
