how can I get rid of the sample text in each response blank

there is sample text in each response.  can I remove them all at once or do I have to delete one by one?

I am sorry but I am not sure what you are referring to. Can you please post a screenshot of the sample text that you mean on your next reply?

Hi Marvih, go to this link and then to the bottom of the second page…..you will see what I mean. There is sample text I all the boxes.

If I am right you mean "Placeholder" the one I boxed in Red below?

You can add this CSS code to hide it

Let me know if I have misunderstood you.

It is in the box and I don't want it there

The placeholder text is the text that is in the box… I know I can delete it individually….but there must be a reason it is appearing. I am referring to the words textbook_sample 3 or the numbers in the phone box…etc.

My apologies, as I come to respond to this thread which Marvih have been addressing. However, he is out at the moment so I come to take his place.

I checked your form's submissions but there is no submissions at all from which I could find the words textbook_sample3. If you can give us a link to how you are seeing this, it would be great.

If you are referring to placeholders, placeholders are designed as guide for users either as a sample or in the absence of question labels. These do not submit with the form.

Now, with regarding this part:

In order to address the placeholder concern here, I have inserted Marvih's CSS code with a bit of changes that should appear as this now:

You can check the form and let us know if you wish to have some changes in it.

Thanks for trying to help. It is not on the submissions, it is on the blank form I see the text filled in that I want to eliminate.

Hi lrobinson,

I cannot see the "Textbox_sample3" text anywhere on the form. It is not even in the source code. Can you try using a different browser? I am suggesting that because you might a browser extension (plug-in) that is filling the form automatically for you.

Please provide us a screenshot of what you see.
