Possibility to choose which value from dropdown field will be used in calculation, option or calculation value

    Hello,

I have a form with a dropdown that contains a set of calculation values. I am able to copy the calculation values to another field using Jotform's built-in functions.  However, I'd also need to copy the option label to another field, but can only seem to copy the calculation values.

For context, I have multiple dropdowns with names that are displayed based on conditional inputs.  I need to easily pass the selected name and email address to a Zapier zap to process the input and matching on multiple fields will require me to create additional zaps.

I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly, are you referring to the dropdown options?

You can pass the value of your dropdown to a short text entry field by using update/calculated field condition.

Here is a sample screen cast.

If this was not the ideal output you wanted, kindly please provide a screenshot so we can further help you.

I would like to populate the "Name" field with the option text and the "Email" field with the calculated value text.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to have both values  from a drop down, you can only get the calculation value if they are set up, removing calculation values will allow you to get the option text instead.

Now, you may keep the drop down field as it is and then use conditions to insert the name, this guide will provide you more details about it: https://www.jotform.com/help/268-How-to-Insert-Text-or-Calculation-into-a-Field-Using-Conditional-Logic

We could also forward this as feature request if you want, let us know so we can proceed.

Yes, please forward this as a feature request.  I will figure out a workaround for my immediate need.
