Form Import: from Formsite to Jotform

    Asked on December 28, 2017 at 3:59 PM

    I want to take 4 of my forms from Formsite and put them into Jotform.  I don't know how to do that.  I want 1 of the forms to look like this form http://www.alakazamtravel.com/application.html .  How can I do this?  Please don't send me the link on how to clone ... it does not look like my form from above.  I want to purchase your product but if I can't have the forms like the forms I have on Formsite than why should I purchase your product?  Is there someone I can talk to?  You keep sending me the same link.

    Yes, but without it's Form Style and Data. You can check this guide on how to clone/import forms into your account https://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

    I tried cloning the form on the link you shared using the guide above and this is what it looks like. https://form.jotform.com/73617013655960

    You just need to modify the Field names and Re-style it either using our Form Designer or using a Theme.

    Yes that's what I am getting as well.  It does not look like my form at http://www.alakazamtravel.com/application.html

    So what you are telling me is I just need to stick with Formsite or look for a different forms online that can make a form look like mine?  Again I am not a web designer and don't know how to create forms.

    I appreciate all your help.  I guess I will stick what with what I have for now and shop around to see who could help me re-build the 4 forms that I have.

    Thanks and have a happy new year.

    I sincerely apologize, I wasn't able to see the previous thread(s) you created. I could help you re-design your form similar to your Formsite.

    I will get back to you as soon as I finish.

    Thank you.

    Thank you … I am new to this site, it was recommended to me by other travel agents that use your service.  I didn't know that there was a reply to the thread. I just realized it.

    I appreciate your help!

    Hi, I did some editing on the form I cloned from your website.

    Please check it out on this link https://form.jotform.com/73617013655960 and let me know if it is okay.

    You may clone that one so that you can edit the Payment Integration. I used Paypal Express for that one https://www.jotform.com/help/285-Configuring-PayPal-Express-Integration

    Thank you very much!  The form looks great!  I already use Paypal through Formsite, so I could just give Paypal a call to set me up with Jotform.  I have 3 other forms and would like to work with you and Jotform.  How much would you charge me to import and re-design these forms?

    I have cloned one of your forms and tried to make the design look similar to your previous form.

    Here is the link: https://form.jotform.com/73623867727974

    You can clone that and continue adding a Payment Gateway.

    You can use our Form Designer and make the form look however you want.

    Hello!  Thanks again for all your help.  I have subscribed to Jotform the bronze … how do I get the 2 forms you made for me on my subscription? Will you help me with the 2 other forms?  On the 1 form you made for me how do we get the credit card spaces on that form?

    Thanks.

    Hello Janet,

    You can clone the two example forms we made for you by following this guide: How to Clone an Existing Form from a URL

    To get the credit card input fields, add a payment integration to your form. Here is a collection of guides to help you get started with payment forms: https://www.jotform.com/help/chapter-7-Payment+Forms

    How do I add text without leaving a big gap between the rest of the information they are filling out?

    You can change the spacing between questions

    Sorry Aubrey … maybe I didn't ask the right question.  I am using under quick elements the Aa Text above the questions like name phone email etc.  When I use the Aa Text and put my text to fill in it leaves about 3-4 inches away from the questions … how do I compress the space?

    For some reason now it worked … how do I hide something from a form that I made?  I went to delete it and it said that I can hide it.

    Thanks.

    To hide a field you need to open its properties (gear icon) then go to the advanced tab and enable the setting.

    Oh, you are talking about a payment integration. There is no option to hide it.

    You would need to configure your payment integration first. Then you click on properties > advanced > field details > and get the field ID

    It should start with a # sign.

    Then in your CSS box you could enter

    #your_field_id{

    display: none;

    }

    Thanks.

    Thank you. I can see the problem.

    When you submit you see this:

    If you remove this CSS code:

    .form-image {

        width : 900px!important;

        margin-left : -35px;

    }

    You will see this:

    From an earlier question … I get a blank page when submitting a form, I don't get the check mark in a circle saying "Thank you".

    Also when receiving the email it's coming from Jotform and not Alakazam Travel when receiving the response to completing the form.  Here is the link:

    I get a blank page when submitting a form, I don't get the check mark in a circle saying "Thank you".

    I was able to replicate the issue in a cloned form. Please try to update your Thank You Page using the Thank You Page Editor. Here's how:

    In the Form Builder, click "Settings" and then go to "Thank You Page" section. After that, please do a minor change in the Thank You Page Editor like removing the "!" and then adding it back. After doing that, click the "Build" option in the top menu to save the changes.

    How do I insert a credit card # expiration date and security code on my form?

    I created a separate thread for this question. Please wait for my reply on this link: https://www.jotform.com/answers/1337556.

    Also when receiving the email it's coming from Jotform and not Alakazam Travel when receiving the response to completing the form

    I created another thread for this issue. Here's the link: https://www.jotform.com/answers/1337582.

    To avoid any confusion, please open a separate thread for each issue. Thank you for your cooperation.
