How do I duplicate a form in my account?

    Hello,

    I want to duplicate a form, but as I have more forms than allowed by my bronze plan, Jotform refuses to. However, I'd like to duplicate a form, and then delete another one.


    Would that be possible?

    Or is there another way I can copy an existing form over another existing form?

    I have checked your account and see that it is currently holding Bronze subscription plan. Please note that the Bronze subscription plan account can hold only 25 active forms. Since the forms are grandfathered in your account, you can use them as long as you want to. However, you'll not be able to create a new form in the account. If you need to create a new form, it is required to upgrade your account to the next available plan as per your requirement.

    Hello,

    I'm afraid your support is not much of a support. I'm aware that at a certain moment in time, you decided to limit the number of forms. My problem is not that I don't have sufficient number of forms. My problem is that I can not copy content of one form to another.

    The problem would be solved if you, for instance, would authorize an extra form for 10 minutes. That would leave time to duplicate one form, and erase another. Or if you would have a feauture that alows to copy the code of one form, and to paste it into another, existing, form.

    Thanks for your serious consideration to help solve my problem without upgrading the plan. That would be to easy... :-)

    I understand. Unforutnately, it is not possible to increase the forms count temporarily. However, we can change the subscription plan to Silver temporarily that enables to copy the forms. Once you are done with the cloning the forms and delete them, please let us know here so that we can switch your account back to Bronze.

    Would it be possible to temporarly update my account to 'silver' until the end of the week? That would allow me to duplicate some forms, as discussed previously.

    We have now added 20 more forms limit to your account permanently rather switching the plan to Silver. Please check if you are able to copy the forms and let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Hello,

    This is very kind. However, it does not resolve my problem. 

    My problem is that I can not copy an existing form to create a new form. Therefor I'd need a plan wit one more form than I use, so 56 in my specific case. Then I would be able to copy an existing form. Now I still can't or I would have to delete 11 existing forms.

    Hello John,

    Thank you for your helpful answer. I managed to clone a form while I was in a hurry, so thanks again.

    However, I'm not entirely satisfied with your response. I'll try to explain the logic of my complaint. Please keep in mind English is not my mother tongue, so I hope I'll make myself clear.

    I started with a free plan and had 55 forms. At a certain point, Jotform decided to restrain the number of free forms. Even when switching to a paid bronze account, I had more forms in my account than the Bronze plan would allow me to. I think we agree it is not correct to take back a gift, is it? And so Jotform didn't, as I still have 55 forms in my account. Plus one thanks to you.

    However, if I want to clone a form, I need to erase forms. Until I have no more forms than allowed in my paid plan. I think this is the thing that should be repaired. If I can not clone forms, unless I erase them, it is not right.


    That's why I suggest a simple solution: please 'officialize' my 56 forms. So then I have the 55 that I had, and I can still erase one to clone an existing form. In my humble opinion, this would be the right ways to deal with this. And to solve this issue on a permanent basis, without me needing to bother you whenever I need to clone a form.
