Forum: the upload field does not indicate that only image file types are allowed.

    Also, frequently when I submit my support requests,  my form literally sits there saying "please wait" for hours and never goes through.

    Is it the same form? http://www.jotform.us/form/72224618703150, is this issue reproducing when you try to submit your form through its direct link? Or, is it embedded in a webpage? Please share the URL of the webpage where it is embedded if this is the case.

    No, I’m talking about your Support – Contact Us form. If I add an attachment, it won’t submit. I’ve been trying to get help with my problem for the past week and every time I submitted it with an attachment, it didn’t work. It wasn’t until today that I decided to scrap the attachment and just submit the content because I was so frustrated. Then it worked.

    I just did a test. I uploaded an image as an attachment and there wasn't any delay.

    What kind of file did you try to upload as an attachment?

    A simple PDF. 55KB. This is what happens every time. It stays in “Please Wait” for hours and never submits. In both Chrome and IE.

    Please try the following:

    1) Check if the PDF file extension is allowed: https://www.jotform.com/help/332-How-to-Create-File-Upload-Forms 

    2) Also, check the max upload size limit: https://www.jotform.com/help/33-Changing-the-File-Upload-Size-Limit 

    3) Clear your forms cache: https://www.jotform.com/help/229-How-to-Clear-Your-Form-Cache 

    Also, you may consider deleting the field and adding a new File Upload field. Make sure to download your already received upload files before deleting this field from your form.

    I apologize for my previous answer, I can see that you are referring to OUR support contact us form. Please note that it is only possible to upload images file types. That is the reason why the PDF file is not accepted. We will update our developers, so a message could be shown to user who tried to upload any other file that is not an image type. 

    If you need to share a PDF file in the support forum, or any other file type, I would suggest you to upload it to Google Drive, or Dropbox, so you can share the "shareable link" with us.

    Sorry, I don’t think you are getting this. I’m telling you that JOTFORM has an issue with YOUR Contact Us Support form. Has nothing to do with any forms that I’m creating. I’m saying that when I reach out to you for support, I can’t get it because YOUR form won’t allow it to be submitted with a 55KB attachment! I cleared my cache on both IE and Chrome and nothing changes. There is an issue with YOUR form that needs to be fixed in order for this client of yours to get better service. We are a paying customer and I am not happy with this issue that keeps arising when I need support. Is there someone else that I can speak with about this issue? Thank you.
