    Hi,

So I created a form with a product to sell, but the product comes in different colours. So in the form https://form.jotform.com/80037383362252 you will see the product needs to be selected, and then the quanity of what ever colour. The issue I am having is that the additional shipping charged is only supposed to add 5.00 extra, not added a full shipping charge of 18.00.

If you try it out, you will see if you select what ever colour you want, pick quanity of one, then go to another colour and pick quanity of 1 and you will see it add on another 18.00 for shipping, not the addition 5.00.

    Can anyone help please?

    ADDED INFORMATION:

Thanks for the information an video, but it is not what I am looking to do. I want someone to select an item and it adds 18.00 for the shipping. any addition item added i need to ad 5.00.

Example: When you select the White product and select 2 for quanity, it will add the 18.00 plus 5.00 total of 23.00 in shipping cost. Now if i keep what is selected and then want to buy a Black product, it will keep the shipping cost for the first White 2, then add a fresh 18.00 to the shipping when I only want it to add 5.00.

Any help please. As the addition shipping cost is only working on single items and not on all when mixing multiple products.

Just to make sure, you want to add the shipping cost as a total of the invoice not just for a single product, and you don't need to add any extra fee for that product?

To do that please go to Payment settings click on shipping and change the charge basis to Per Transaction. You can add the amount you want to charge extra for shipping.

Hello Alex - I'm confused with what you're referring to as "adding $18". Your form is currently setup to add a flat $5 Shipping Fee regardless of how many products were selected.

To confirm, you need something like a base shipping fee where:

🔘 A single item will cost them $18 of shipping fee

🔘 And any additional item thereafter will cost them $5

Is this going to be the same regardless of the items selected? I'm asking because there's a bunch of different combinations with 5 items that offer 5 quantities each. Doesn't this mean that no matter how many they select, the shipping total will always be $23? And the only time it will be $18 is if and only if only 1 item has been selected.

I also find it odd charging your customers different rates for shipping. Shipping fees are mostly either a flat rate regardless or on a per item basis. Please get back to us with a bit more info and a clearer description of what you're trying to do so we can better assist you.

    Hi,

it is correct, in Canada and using Canada post, when shipping an item, you pay a base then for additional weight you would add just a few more dollars.

I had an issue changing over to the PER PRODUCT ITEM last night. The system just would not let me. But have it working now the way it was when I first asked the question.

    1 White item sells for 12.95 + 18.00 (shipping) = 23.00

    2 White items sell for 25.90 + 18.00 (shipping) + 5.00 (for addition item = 48.90

    NOW HERE IS THE ISSUE.

    When I want to order

    2 White items sell for 25.90 + 18.00 (shipping) + 5.00 (for addition item = 48.90

    Then add

1 Black item it will add 12.95 + 18.00 (shipping) when it should be only adding 5.00

Making the total of this order 79.85 When it should be 66.85

If this can be done, then it will allow things to work as a shopping cart. If not then I need to sell each item (product) separately which I do not want. I would like my customers to mix up what they want to order without having the shipping add a fresh 18.00 each time an new item is added, but only add 5.00 after the 18.00 was added.

Hope that helps, as I could not find the answer any other place in my searches.

    Thanks

    Alex

I have been analyzing your explanation an how we can implement what your need and it seems we only have limited options.

We have two options of implementing shipping. One we add shipping per transaction that is if a client order 2 White and 1 Black the shipping for the total order will be $18 only.

The other option will be to add shipping to all items this mean if I order 2 Black shipping will be $18 x 2items=$32 shipping for Black orders and $18 for 1 white order meaning shipping for the shipping for the total order will be $32(Black)+$18(White)=$50

Based on your explanation if I order 2Black my shipping will be 2*$18=$36 for shipping. Then When I add another item lets say 1Black  then I will not pay shipping for this meaning shipping will be Zero for the other additional items after I buy the first items.

Kindly note form the above examples/Explanation I have deliberately left out the $5 additional since its a constant.

    .....................................................................................................................................

Based on the above I would recommend if possible you enable shipping for all the items. With this option there is a possibility of   enabling shipping for the first item one has ordered per product so for instance if I order 2 Black and 2 White my shipping will be $18 for Black Order and $18 for White order regardless of how many orders I make of the two items my shipping will not increase.

    Kindly see demo form below.
