How can I display a text field when a certain country is selected?

Asked by smartbar on September 27, 2012 at 09:15 PM

Hi, I am trying to create a form for a competition that is only open to certain countries. Is there a way to dispaly a message to the user when a country where the competition is not open is selected?

I have tried to use the conditions but I can't seem to get this to work unless I list all countries and use the 'if country equals to' option for all those countries that are not taking part.

I have also made a test and it's indeed not possible with "address field". A workaround I could think is to remove the country field in the address field and replace it with another drop down field containing list of countries. It's like replacing the default field to another field. It's possible with Custom CSS Injection, here's an example:

If Country equals United States, Message box should show.

Feel free to clone this form to figure out how I've managed to replace the country field: How to clone an existing form from a URL

You can find the injected css codes by following this guide: How to Inject Custom CSS Codes
