New Form Layout: The question causes iPad mini to freeze

    My form was working well on several iPad minis when it suddenly became unresponsive and lagging on the same question (question Is The Identity Of The Person Involved In The Incident Known?).  I tried the following:

    -switched from wifi to cellular data using cellphone as hotspot

    -tried to replicate problem on PC but found the form to work quickly and without delays. 

    -tried using a new iPad mini model, used iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 4

    -turned off all restrictions on the iPads

    -tried soft restart on ipads

    -updates iPad operating systems

    -checked for updates on Google Chrome

    -cleared Jotform cache and Google Chrome cache

    The form still freezes at the same question.

    I understand the the large number of conditions that I have may be slowing things down. I've previously tried to reduce the number of conditions. I don't feel like this explains why the form doesn't work consistently on iPads alone.

    I do not have an iPad mini 2 or 4, so I tested your form using the iPad mini 2 and 4 emulators. However, I was not able to replicate the issue you reported. The form is working properly. I also inspected the conditions for the mentioned field and I do not see any issue whit the conditions that you set. 

    Did you test the form using Safari browser? Also, is the form embedded? If so, please provide the webpage URL, so that we can test the form there.

    Thank you for your quick reply. I tried Safari and Firefox.  The same issue was encountered at the same place on the ipads.  The form is not embedded.  Prior to posting this question, I was having problems and discovered it was because the widget address was not listed as an approved website under the ipad restrictions.  Do you think this could also be the problem, but relating to conditional questions?  or could it be related to any setting on an ipad?

    Honestly, I am not sure. I checked with my colleagues but no one has an iPad mini to test your form. 

    I tested your form again using emulators, but I am still unable to replicate the issue you reported.

    The form is also working properly on iPhone. 

    I will escalate your issue to our developers. They should be able to test your form on an actual iPad mini device. 

    We will update you via this thread once this issue is resolved.

    We've narrowed it down to placing website restrictions on the ipads.  All other apple and android devices using wifi or cellular work great. I've allowed the websites: form, jotform widgets, the google site I embedded the form in, etc.  Regardless, when website restrictions are on, the form freezes and shows an error message. Do you have any guesses or ideas why it the form is not working under these conditions?

    Thanks for probing it further. 

    Base on your statement, I can only presume that due to restrictions in your network, some website resources like javascript and CSS were probably blocked. Note that these are required in order for the form to work properly.

    We recommend to allow or keep those domains in your whitelist to avoid any issues.
