HELP...Which option do I use to add my form to the autoresponder email?

Asked by call4angel on September 30, 2012 at 01:21 PM

    Hello,

I am creating an autoresponder email. I would like to embed a form in the email. I would like the form to be visible as a form in the email (no links).

I've tried all the embed options by doing the following:

    1. Click the "HTML" button.

    2. Copy and paste the code

    3. Click insert.

After clicking insert, some of the pasted codes are not visible as a form. The ones that are visible, don't populate or work properly.

Which one of the embeding options can I use to make the form visible, populate and work properly in my email?

Thanks & Have a Great Day!

    Angela

    Hi,

I would suggest to embed your form using iFrame method.

To get your form's iFrame code, please follow the steps below:

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed tab
    2.  Click Embed Form
    3.  Click iFrame

Just let us know if this doesn't work so that we can further assist you.

I tried Iframe, the form is not visible in the email.

Sorry about my last comment. Can you please try inserting the form's source code into your email message.

To get your form's source code:

    1.  Go to Setup & Embed tab

    2.  Click Embed Form

    3.  Click Source

    4.  Copy the codes provided

    That should work.

NOTE: Any change you made in the Form Builder would not instantly reflect into the form embedded into your email message. You'd have to re-embed the source code everytime you make changes.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask again if you have other queries.

Hi, source does not populate / work properly.

The form is visible in the email but it comes with bullet dots on the side and allows me to send the form without completing the required sections.

The margins and spacings are also not like it should be. See attachment. (the one that is visible in the email pretty much looks and works different than the creted form).

    Here's what is visible

Here's What it should look like

    @Angela,

Hi, injecting scripts, css, or even iframe code will not work on JotForm's notification email body.

The application will only strip this codes from the email wizard due to potential cross-site scripting that can happen, which is a security issue.

Perhaps we can suggest other option instead. Can you please share to us the purpose why there is a need to embed the form itself on ts notifcation email?

There are other methods to be able to allow the form responder to be able to see the form after submission. Like this method

    How-to-Make-a-Clickable-Edit-Link

    and this one

    -How-to-Save-Forms-to-Continue-Later

    Will await for your update.

    Thanks.
