Is it possible to attach a kmz file to a form submission?

Yes, it is possible as long as you add the file extension name in the File Upload field properties. In the Form Builder, select the File Upload field and then click the "Properties" button. Go to the "Options" tab and add the "kmz" extension in the File Types. Here's a screenshot:
