    Hi,

For form 71245791095966 I have been asked if it is possible after submitting and Thank you, to go back and edit some fields for another submit.

I just changed the Continue Forms Later to enabled, but I don't believe that is the answer.

    Copy of email text:

That online form really makes for a REALLY long process to submit multiple dates... We fill out ALL that info and it does not even save the common info to submit other dates...

    Thank you, Robert

    Hi,

I just realized that this person is not using the JotForm version of this form, they are using a pdf form, So, this particular request is not an issue after all.

    regards, Robert

The methods we have to allow users to save their information and go back to edit it later are the following:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later

    https://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-on-Forms

However, both methods will clear the data as soon as the form is submitted, now if you need to allow them to edit the submission once they sent it, then you will need to provide them the edit link, please check this guide that will help you doing so: https://www.jotform.com/help/40-How-to-Let-Users-Update-Their-Form-Submissions-at-a-Later-Date

I think a PDF version of the form works with these features since the emails are triggered from JotForm, but when they need to edit the submission they will be redirected to a web form instead.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,

Yes i have used the edit link in the past. That would not give a new submission which is what is required. I will look into the auto-fill option.

    Thank you, Robert

OK, if you need to generate a new submission I think you may generate a pre-populated link to the form, this way the user has the submitted data, change the needed and submits the form again, this will create a new submission instead of editing the existing one.

This guide will help you with the method, but instead of passing the data to another form you will be passing it to the same one: https://www.jotform.com/help/351-How-to-Automatically-Pass-Form-Data-to-Another-Form

    I hope this helps.

I quickly looked at this and can see how it might help.

As I see it, the auto responder has a link that fills in the fields the user would always answer the same way.

Or if they are only sending in one they ignore this link for now and could possibly use it at a later date.

OR, the thank you redirect could do something along the same lines.

    Am I close?

    TNX, Robert

Yes, you may provide them the link to the pre-populated form via an email autoresponder or through the thank you page, this way they save the link and use it when they need to send a different submission, they will be able to change any information if they want as well.

Also, please note that the link does not have an expiration date, they will be able to use it as long as the form is active.
