I have a hotel reservation form that I want to use for an event. I need to take credit card information to pass to the hotel.

Please can you tell me how I can encrypt the credit card information through a JotForm.

Please note, I do *not* want to take any payment or pre-authorisation, I just need to take the credit card information through an encrypted channel.

According to our Terms of use it is highly forbidden to collect credit card information. You need to use one of our valid payment methods that we offer. You should do this immediately otherwise your account will be suspended.

Please check the link below there are a lot of articles that will help you setting up your payment method.

I understand that it's against your T&Cs to take unencrypted credit card numbers. But my questions was whether there was a way to take encrypted credit card numbers without taking a pre-authorisation. We don't wish to take any payment or pre-authorisation at this point.

If you don't want to process an actual Payment you can use the Purchase Order payment processor.

It is forbidden to collect credit card information, you should use a valid way of online payment.

Please let us know if you have any other question.
