Has support for passing URL paramenter in edit links been added yet?

Just wondering if there's been any progress on prepopulating fields with URL parameters appended to edit links. I see several past threads about it.

Today I built a parser that uses the Google Sheets integration assuming that I'd be able to generate an edit link with several URL parameters, but was disappointed to find that the fields are indeed populated on page load but are then immediately cleared.

Now it appears I'll need to create two forms, one form to receive user data and another form to receive the same data and the parsed data via a link with URL parameters created in Google Sheets. Hopefully will work, but it seems like another kludgy workaround. Would be great to have a cleaner solution. Thanks.

For me, the populated fields are not being cleared, but when I submit, a new record (submission) is created, and the one that I wanted to edit is not edited.
