I'm currently evaluating Jotform as a possible form generator for a custom paintings website that I'm setting up. More specifically I want to create an order form that allows the user to select from a number of different painting options such as size, style, frame, etc and then, based on the selections, automatically calculate the total value of the order which should then be passed onto PayPal.

At this stage I have a few questions that I'd greatly appreciate your help with.

1 - Is it possible to add a field that automatically generates a transaction ID/number so that each order that is received has a unique transaction ID/number?

2 - Is it possible to add custom graphics next to the fields? eg we'd like to add the various graphics of the frame styles next to the corresponding select option. This allows the user to see what a frame style looks like before selecting it.

3- I'm assuming that for each of the paid plans the forms can be fully custom branded? and that it doesn't have Jotform logos etc?

4- Due to the way we'll be offering our service we require that the user initially send us a 35% deposit of the total and the rest upon product approval and completion. As such, is it possible to set up totals fields that automatically calculate and display "Total Cost" and "35% Deposit Now Due"?

5 - Finally, is there a way for the user to upload images and send it to us as part of the order form?

I think JotForm is a great solution as a contact form generator. It is free. Please give it a try!

1 - Is it possible to add a field that automatically generates a transaction ID/number so that each order that is received has a unique transaction ID/number?

Yes, add {id} tag to your emails and/or enable "Submission ID" field on your submissions page.

2 - Is it possible to add custom graphics next to the fields? eg we'd like to add the various graphics of the frame styles next to the corresponding select option. This allows the user to see what a frame style looks like before selecting it.

Yes, it is possible to add custom fields near products. On the PayPal Wizard 3rd page, you will see an "Image URL" question where you add new products. Simply add the image there.

You can also add images to your form using "Image" field under Power Tools.

3- I'm assuming that for each of the paid plans the forms can be fully custom branded? and that it doesn't have Jotform logos etc?

Yes, both free and paid accounts do not have any JotForm logo or links. It is very important for us to make sure our users look professional.

4- Due to the way we'll be offering our service we require that the user initially send us a 35% deposit of the total and the rest upon product approval and completion. As such, is it possible to set up totals fields that automatically calculate and display "Total Cost" and "35% Deposit Now Due"?

Unfotunately no, we do not have anything for that. You should probably add the full product amount as a part of the product name, and then use the 35% amount as the product price.

5 - Finally, is there a way for the user to upload images and send it to us as part of the order form?

Yes, that's perfectly possible. Simply click on "File Upload" field on the left side to add it to your form.
