How do I put custom HTML code into jotforms

Asked by mvempati on October 07, 2012 at 01:05 AM

I have 2 date time picker functions and I would like to show to user 5 days , 4 nights and price so and so. This is for a reservation form.

Later would like to send this invoice using paypal integration. My challenge is the customization of form code generated through the formbuilder. Kindly help.

    Warm Regards

    Hi Arjuna,

You may want to check this guide on how to use the form's source code

And check also Jotform's Template gallery for reservation forms.

Can you confirm to us if, what you are trying to achieve is a Reservation or Booking form with payments?

If you can add more details to what you want to do, we can offer more suggestions and even assist you all the way on achieving this.

    Thanks.

    Jonathan,
First off , I would like to thank you for responding in short time and
making effort to help my situation. What I am trying to achieve is
reservation for beach houses and villas whose availability is not known
until we make a request. Currently I am facing couple of challenges to
    solve my scenario.
    Challenge #1 :
We have a pricing structure for each hotel(varies by month/week )that we
need to apply once we get the checkin and checkout dates from user. Since
pricing is unique in my case I have to resort to custom code. The custom
code calculates the price and displays to user. Challenge here is how to
upload my changes back to jot form. I tried free text with html elements
and its messing up lot of things.
    Challenge #2:
I need to pass above calculated information to paypal and not charge the
user immediately. Our hotel contacts should approve availability before we
process the charge and fire email notifications.
Let me know if I am unclear on any of the points.
    Thanks
    Arjuna

Free Text (HTML) area will not work for scripts embedding. You may get your form source code, put that code to your web page and add some Javascript directly to the page for calculations.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to set up such integration with us. PayPal Delayed Chained Payments may work for you, but we do not use that option in our system.

Another option is to use some third party service. For example, we have integration with a FreshBooks:

Create Invoices from Forms Using Freshbooks Integration

You can integrate the Purchase Order tool with the Freshbooks, and send the invoices using that service after the confirmation.
